Please, bear in mind that Adoration for the Blessed Sacrament will be closed. This is standard liturgical practice: to close Adoration on Good Friday since Our Lord was taken from us and crucified that day.
What's different this year is that we will not have Adoration until Midnight on Holy Thursday. The reason for this is that our Archbishop has instructed Pastors to not have an Altar of Repose in 2020. So, a little before the Mass begins at 5:30, we will need to take the Blessed Sacrament for the Mass of the Lord's Supper as is normally done. But, this time, adoration will not resume in the chapel due to our Archbishop's instruction. Instead, we will have a quite Holy Hour with Jesus broadcasted after the Holy Thursday Mass. (Remember: Jesus can still see you. Please, spend time to see Him too in the "LIVE" broadcast following the Holy Thursday Mass.)
Why was this decided? It is being omitted during this year's Holy Thursday Mass along with feet washing, physical access to Masses, no public Venration of the Cross on Good Friday, and the lack of RCIA Sacraments during the Easter Vigil in order to keep large amounts of people from gathering to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Adoration, when it re-opens, will only be open to a maximum of 4-5 people at a time --as it has been. 'Social distancing' practices will remain in effect in the chapel as well as the closure of the public bathrooms. ...Please, use the restroom prior to your visit to the chapel when it re-opens after the Easter Vigil --since our restrooms will still be closed.
During Holy Week, the Ordinary COVID-19 Mass Times schedule does not apply.
See the special schedule near the top of this webpage, under the heading Friend our facebook to see "LIVE".
During Holy Week, many things happen that we must prepare for in preparation for the Event.
Thus, Confessions will not be available Holy Saturday nor Easter Sunday.
However, Confessions will occur on Good Friday: 12-1:30 p.m. ...Please, make note of these temporary changes to the COVID-19 schedule.
